Simply locking documents in a steel filing cabinet or
storing them in a safe affords minimal protection against the very dangerous
hazard of fire. The solution lies in the purpose designed series of document
protection cabinets manufactured by Chubb.
Tested to the highest standards
Available in four sizes, each cabinet has gained the
coveted VDMA S120P fire test label which affords 2 hours protection against
fire for documents and paper.
- Monolithic construction of fire testing resisting barrier material
affords maximum protection
- Internal temperatures limited to 170°C after two hours of exposure
to severe fire
- A reinforced plinth provides maximum energy absorption if the floor
of a building collapses when on fire
- As part of the VDMA 5120P test, a red hot cabinet is dropped 9.1 metres
on to rubble and reheated to ensure the cabinet will still provide protection
in the event of floor collapse
Quality locks and fittings
Cabinets are available with a wide variety of high capacity, cost effective
fittings including lateral filing rails, shelves, platforms, drawers and
lockable cupboards.

Elite Multi-Prong Filing System
Optional to Chubb's range of document protection cabinets are a range
of plan file storage fittings for the protection of drawings, blueprints
and large plans.
- Store up to 2000 large documents, plans or drawings on two levels
- Provides convenient access for ease of everyday use
- Easily indexed by individual plan and/or project
- Four cross hanger bars have the capacity to cradle up to 250 drawings
- For archive filing up to 2500 documents can be accommodated
